Current Policies and Procedures: Library Building Use

The following polices and procedures have been adopted for the 2020-2021 academic year regarding use of the library building.

Masks

Masks will be worn by all patrons and employees within the building.

Library Furniture

All library furniture has been moved so to promote social distancing. Patrons are not to move furniture and are asked to adhere to the university’s social distancing guidelines.

Printing

After submitting a job through print quota, patrons will come to the front desk and give the staff member his or her name. The staff member will print the materials and place them on the counter for the patron to retrieve while maintain six feet of social distancing.

Study Rooms

We have needed to reduce the capacity of our study rooms to accommodate social distancing. Please note the capacity on the sign outside of the room. Additionally, please keep doors open to promote airflow throughout the building and limit the contact on door knobs.

Virtual Classes and Research Consultations

Faculty and students are encourage to conduct instruction and research consultations virtually. The librarians are prepared to offer remote services through a variety of mediums such as Zoom and online chat.

Eating/Food

No food and/or eating is permitted in the library.

Flyers, Handouts, & Papers

No flyers, handouts, or papers will be placed on common surfaces. We ask all patrons to help keep the library clean.

Visitors

The library will follow the university's policy regarding visitors to campus. We have suspended community borrowing for the semester. We appreciate your cooperation.
