Open Access: Home

This subject guide is intended to serve as a learning tool to educate our users on open access and the changing world of scholarly communications.

What is Open Access?

Open access (OA) refers to freely available access to academic publications including peer-reviewed articles, thesis, books, book chapters, data, etc. Under OA, authors allow their work to be used without restrictions or permission. Open access makes scholarly research available to our students and faculty without any restrictions or paywalls.
