NCI-ATRF Scientific Library: Home

Mount St. Mary's students and faculty now have access to the e-library resources at the National Cancer Institute's Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF), in Frederick, MD.  

The 330,000 sq.ft. ATRF facility is a large research center that houses many partnership projects in the bio-medical sciences, including genomics, proteomics, nanotechnology, molecular diagnostics, bioinformatics, and biopharmaceutical development. 

Wilson Information Services Corporation (WISCO), of New Market, Maryland, provides library services at the ATRF site. WISCO has agreed to open the library to Mount students and faculty at this site.

​The ATRF library provides researchers with on-site access to thousands of scientific journals.  A staff librarian is usually on duty to assist users. 

Before visiting the ATRF contact the library to ensure that your name is included in the list of Mount students/faculty, as required by ATRF building security.  Call ahead to alert ATRF security as to your ETA.  Parking is available in front of the building.  

The ATRF Library is located on the second floor, in the E wing, Room E2003. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., however,  24/7 access is available even when library staff are not on duty.
