Locating Subject Headings

Subject headings are key words or phrase that describe the topic of the book or article. Librarians use subject headings to organize information. Subject headings can also be a helpful research tool to you. All of our subject headings are hyperlinked. So, when you click on the subject heading of a particular item, the catalog will produce a results list of other materials also on that topic. If you find a subject heading that is helpful to your research, you can also search for that subject heading directly in our catalog search box.

Below are screenshots of where you will find subject headings in both our catalog and in EBSCO. The subject headings are identified with the red box.
